Owen Swischuk

The DSSV (Deep Space Science Vessel) was designed to be a 48 person crewed research and exploration vehicle, The design provides crew with both the rigidly functional spaces for mission operations and research as well as the more calming spaces which give the crew much needed personal pace as well as areas where they can “step outside” in order to decompress. The project was started with a section diagram, showing the space allocated to the different bays or floors of the modules and over the next 10 weeks we researched and defined each of these different interior spaces.
