Axiom Station

At Axiom Space, I contribute to the groundbreaking development of the world's first commercial space station, set to surpass the International Space Station (ISS). My work centers on designing the corridor—a vital, shared hub of the station—alongside crafting innovative crew-oriented products to enhance daily life in space. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, we ensure our hardware meets rigorous standards, seamlessly integrating functionality, comfort, and reliability to support the crew's mission and well-being.

Defining a clear design intent early on ensures strong decision-making throughout the process. Initial sketches and storyboards serve as key tools in refining the design, seamlessly aligning it with both subsystem requirements and user needs.

By closely integrating stakeholder feedback and prioritizing lighting and ventilation, we crafted an open and inviting space that gives the crew an opportunity to decompress while still serving mission critical functions. These interactions played a vital role in shaping the final surfaces and solidifying the design.

Following the handoff of final surfaces, I collaborated with engineers to select A-surface materials, refine panel breaks and interfaces as they emerged, and provide input on small details and changes throughout development.
